What is an ANCV holiday check?

Holiday checks allow you to lower your holiday and leisure expenses through more than 200,000 sales points in France. Each year, nearly ten million people benefit from these holiday checks.

ANCV checks are distributed in France through companies, workers’ committees, local authorities and the public administration. They can be spent during the summer holidays or during short stays throughout the year.

The beneficiaries of the holiday checks pay only one part of their holiday expenses; the other part being paid by their employer, workers’ committee or other association.

Holiday checks are available in 10, 20, 25 and 50 € formats and allow for the payment of tourism and leisure services. They are valid until the 31st December up to two calendar years from issue, i.e. a holiday check which is issued in 2018 will be valid until December 2020.

Ascendants and descendants of holiday check holders can also use them. In 2016, more than 36,000 companies, 16,600 workers’ committees and similar associations, and 1,700 public institutions distributed holiday checks, in France.
